Each prompt below names the tradition it draws on so that the AI does not mix styles together by accident.

Three wedding styles at a glance

Yoruba couples often wear Aso Oke: the bride in iro, buba, gele and ipele, the groom in agbada and fila. Igbo brides are known for coral beads worn on the neck, wrists and sometimes as a headpiece, while grooms frequently wear an isiagu shirt with a red or patterned cap and a walking stick. The Igbo traditional wedding is often called igba nkwu, or wine carrying, in which the bride finds her groom among the guests and offers him palm wine.

Hausa-Fulani bridal styling in northern Nigeria tends to feature rich fabrics, intricate henna (lalle) on the hands and feet and modest, flowing outfits. Grooms may wear a babban riga — a large embroidered robe — with a cap.

Photography tips for better results

  • Name the tradition (Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa-Fulani) so the AI doesn't blend styles.
  • Coral beads are central to Igbo bridal styling — mention them explicitly.
  • For henna, ask for 'dark, crisp, intricate patterns' to avoid smudged results.
  • Money spraying scenes look best with motion blur on guests and the couple sharp.

What is a babban riga?

A babban riga is a large, flowing embroidered robe worn by men in northern Nigeria and neighbouring regions, often for weddings and formal occasions.
